Mission Statement:

   The American Legion Riders are members of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary & Sons of the American Legion who are also Motorcycle enthusiasts. They can be found riding in parades, participating in motorcycle events, and supporting the communities where they live, work & play. The American Legion Riders were formed to participate in parades & other ceremonies that are in keeping with the Aims & Purposes of the American Legion to promote motorcycle safety programs & provide a social atmosphere for American Legion Family members who share the same interest. To use our Association to promote & support programs of the American Legion. The American Legion Riders is not a Motorcycle Club, and does not practice M/C rules or regulations. The American Legion Riders is family-oriented, just as is its parent organization: The American Legion.

   The North Iowa Post 278 American Legion Riders do fund raisers for local charities & Veterans Projects, we support many organizations including but not limited to: Forces & Fire, Toys for Tots, Special Olympics, Wounded Warriors, Operation Comfort Warrior, Quilts of Valor, The American Legion & Auxiliary Programs, Mitchell County Food Bank, Local Law & Fire Departments,  Puppy Jake Foundation, Retrieving Freedom both organizations provide service dogs to disabled veterans, as well as hard ship donations to military and veterans family’s, our ability to do this is dependent upon your support through free will donations & our supporting business program.

   The North Iowa Legion Riders were formed in Osage, Iowa in Nov. 2008, we meet at the American Legion at 504 Main St. Osage, Iowa on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM come join us, for more info on the Riders contact Phil 641-228-4199 or email gliderider01@hotmail.com
